30 Second overview: The Cas Gasi is a small luxury Agrotourism hotel located centrally on the island of Ibiza close to the village of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera. From the moment you arrive through the gates and drive towards the entrance we think you will be impressed by this 12 room rural hotel that started life as a farmhouse over 130 years ago.
The hotel sits beautifully in over 4 hectares of land overlooking a small valley and surrounded by pine, olive and carob trees, as well as orange groves. It was fully restored by the current owners 10 years ago with their objective to create a small luxury hotel in Ibiza. And this is exactly what they have achieved. With a beautiful rural location the emphasis on offering you a peaceful setting in which to relax, unwind and kick back.
However on this compact island a short drive will transport you to a completely different pace of life should you choose. Maybe you like lazy days, and even lazier evenings; or alternatively use the hotel as a base for exploring a different beach every day and uncovering the incredible variety of Ibiza restaurants after the sun goes down. Some of the islands best restaurants such Aura and Bambuddha Grove are a short drive from The Cas Gasi.
The hotel retains the charm of an Ibican Finca / Manor House with white washed walls (a must on the “White Isle”) exposed wooden beams, and the elegant antique furniture mixed with modern facilities helps to maintain a rustic feel.
We think: A perfect example of Luxury Agrotoursim in Ibiza
Location: The local town of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera still retains somewhat of a hippy feel with many local bars displaying works by local artists. But it is also quite upmarket with a great choice of bars, restaurants and boutiques. The town has an auction house Casi Todo which, will sells a whole variety of items and could be worth a visit. Last time we visited a classic car was being auctioned. We kept very still fearful that scratching our nose might signify a bid. The local church dates back to 1797 and is one of the oldest on the island. Further afield the fantastic beaches if Ibiza, whether they be small secluded coves or large sandy family friendly beaches, are all within a 30 minute drive (the nearest are just 12 kilometres away). Ibiza Town should only be a 20 minute drive and will provide the perfect contrast to your lazy, relaxing days by the Cas Gasi swimming pool with views across the to the olive trees, pine trees and hills beyond.
The restaurant is available for breakfast (included) lunch and dinner and offers local produce beautifully cooked.
