30 Second Overview: The Can Gall is a rural agrotourism hotel located in the North of the island close to San Lorenzo. The Can Gall is a high end boutique hotel with only 11 rooms of which 2 are perfect for families as they offer guests a separate bedroom. The setting is rural with the hotel reached from a long drive away from the road so offering a tranquil setting. In San Lorenzo, a five minute drive away, there are some restaurants, including a real favourite of ours - “La Paloma” with alfresco dining in the restaurant grounds. Other restaurants are a short drive away on the main road to Ibiza Town, and of course plenty in Ibiza Town itself about 25 minutes’ drive away.
The original finca farmhouse dates back over 200 years, but the rooms are all modern in style and furnished to a very high standard.
By day you can relax by the 20 metre swimming pool which shelves gently so it makes it safe for children to play, but the pool is also large enough also for those wanting to swim some lengths. A small hot tub is located next to the pool. The honesty bar by the pool area means that you can help yourself to a drink whenever you fancy, and the whole vibe is friendly and relaxed with many guests returning year after year. The hotel is also a popular venue for weddings as it has a small outside covered area.
Orange, lemon, avocado & banana trees grow in abundance in the extensive hotel grounds. The elevated location offers you some great views across the valley. Breakfast is served until 11am each day, and evening dinner can be taken at the hotel 5 nights per week.
One of the nearest beaches is Benirras – a 7 minute drive away. This beach has been “adopted” by the hippies since they made their home here in the caves in the 1960’s and provides a relaxing vibe, with the peace broken on occasions by the unique hypnotic drumming which the beach has become famous for.
